Why We Built Luminous
It started with a heartbreak. Our founder, Dr. Eleanor Vance, watched her own mother spend her final years in a facility that was clean and safe — but soulless. The food was institutional. The activities were patronizing. The spaces felt more like a hospital than a home.
She vowed to create something radically different: a place where luxury meets compassion. Where the architecture inspires, the food delights, and every staff member knows every resident by name. Not a facility — a community. Not care — partnership.
Luminous Living opened its doors with 40 residents and a dream. Today, we are a thriving community of over 200 residents who prove every single day that the best years can still be ahead.
